Carefully remove all existing shingles from the roof. After removing shingles, conduct a final inspection of the roof decking for any damage that may have been hidden. Install metal drip edge along the roof edges to direct water into the gutters. Replace or repair any valley flashing as needed. Install a new layer of underlayment over the roof decking, ensuring proper overlap and sealing. Add new ventilation if needed.
Install new shingles according to manufacturer specifications, following proper alignment and nailing patterns. Install flashing around chimneys, vents, pipes, and other roof penetrations to prevent leaks.
